CLAAP’s Advocacy for Justice and Policy Reform initiative was created to address systemic barriers that prevent individuals and communities from accessing justice. We believe that meaningful change requires more than awareness—it demands targeted advocacy, research-driven recommendations, and collaborative action with policymakers and stakeholders.
Through extensive community consultations, surveys, and stakeholder engagement, we identified critical gaps in legal protections, public awareness, and policy implementation. Vulnerable groups, including women, youth, and rural communities, were often left out of decision-making processes that directly impacted their rights.
How We Work
Our approach combines legal research, policy analysis, and grassroots mobilisation. CLAAP develops evidence-based advocacy campaigns that highlight key social and legal issues, propose reforms, and engage government institutions, civil society, and the media to amplify impact.
Over the past years, we have launched workshops, public dialogues, and community forums to raise awareness and gather actionable insights. These sessions serve as both education platforms and consultation spaces, allowing community members to share their experiences and co-create solutions.

Partnerships are central to our advocacy strategy. CLAAP collaborates with local NGOs, academic institutions, legal experts, and government agencies to ensure campaigns are informed, credible, and sustainable. These collaborations strengthen our ability to influence policies that protect the most vulnerable.
Through this initiative, CLAAP has contributed to increased public understanding of rights, influenced amendments to local policies, and empowered communities to engage in civic processes. We have reached thousands of beneficiaries directly through workshops, and many more indirectly via policy briefs and advocacy campaigns.
Looking ahead, CLAAP aims to expand this initiative nationally, integrating digital advocacy tools, continuous monitoring, and targeted campaigns on emerging legal challenges. Our ultimate goal is a society where justice is accessible to all, and communities have the knowledge and tools to actively participate in shaping fair policies.
